Welcome again!
I would like to suggest reading the study conducted by Dr. Raul Katz & Dr. Stephan Suter on economic impact of broadband in the US: "Estimating the Economic Impact of the Broadband Stimulus Plan" - 2009. The objective of this input-output analysis is to estimate the jobs that can be generated as a result of the grants to be disbursed by the broadband provisions. Main key findings: Network infrastructure construction could produce 128,000 jobs (32,000/year) over a four year period
