WSIS Prizes 2018: the Online Voting for the World's top ICT for Development's initiatives is open!

490 ICT success stories from around the world were nominated for the Online Voting Phase following a comprehensive review by the Expert Group of 676 submitted projects submitted by the WSIS Stakeholder community.

The seventh edition of the WSIS Prizes contest set a new record of this important global multistakeholder engagement in the implementation of WSIS Action Lines for SDGs, surpassing last year numbers by far (345 projects were nominated out of 467 submissions in the WSIS Prizes 2017 edition).

Photo Contest

Stakeholders are invited to VOTE for their favorite success stories and all those who have submitted their projects for this year's contest are encouraged to follow the process carefully and to encourage their networks to join this global initiative, including preparations for the online voting campaigns for their respective projects.

Online voting started on 29 January 2018 and will end on 18 February 2018.

Based on the results, winning projects will be selected by the Expert Group from the five projects which have received the most votes. Following the Selection Phase, all 90 finalists (five from each of eighteen WSIS Action Lines categories) will be announced to the public on 23 February 2018.

The winners will be announced and presented with an award at the WSIS Prizes ceremony during the WSIS Forum 2018, 19-23 March 2018 in Geneva, Switzerland. At the same occasion, 72 WSIS Prize 2018 Champions (first four runner-up projects in each category) will be recognized during the special ceremony dedicated to their achievements.
