The Cisco Networking Academy will launch a new program aiming to develop communication skills and technology education in collaboration with the Moroccan Ministry of National Education. Hassan Bahej, Cisco Morocco general manager, stressed the importance of creating long-term and sustainable solution such as the Academy in order to achieve economic growth. The Cisco Networking Academy aims to provide up-to-date ICT skills as well as education for training in ICTs.
Since its opening in 2001, the Academy have trained nearly 21 000 candidates. The Moroccan Ministry of National Education highlighted the necessity of having such initiatives in order to bring the IT growth Morocco is experiencing to all citizens.
